The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is a traditional Chinese holiday celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month. It has a long history and is filled with various legends.

One popular story revolves around the moon god, Chang'e, who is said to have consumed an elixir of immortality, causing her to become immortal. Her husband, Hou Yi, was heartbroken and searched for her. Chang'e eventually landed on the moon, and since then, people have looked up at the moon on this day, hoping to catch a glimpse of her.
Another legend is about the famous scholar, Qu Yuan, who drowned himself in the Miluo River due to political discontent. On the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, local people paddled boats and tossed rice dumplings into the river to feed the fish, hoping to save Qu Yuan. This tradition has evolved into the Mid-Autumn Festival, where families gather to enjoy mooncakes, tea, and the beautiful full moon.
