启功墓志铭
公讳启功,字元白,号苑北居士,生于清光绪二十五年(1899年),卒于公元二零一一年二月七日。公幼承家学,博学多才,工诗善书,尤精于书法。公一生勤奋好学,不倦求知,于诗词、书画、考古、历史等领域均有涉猎,成就卓著。
公曾任北京大学教授、中央美术学院教授、故宫博物院研究员,是我国著名学者、教育家、书法家、文物鉴定家。公一生致力于学术研究,为我国文化事业做出了巨大贡献。
公德高望重,为人谦逊,待人诚恳,深受师生敬爱。公一生淡泊名利,不慕富贵,以学术为生命,以教育为己任。公虽身居高位,但始终保持谦逊、低调,以身作则,为后人树立了光辉的榜样。
公逝后,其弟子、亲友及社会各界人士纷纷前来悼念,表达对公的敬意和怀念。公虽已离世,但其精神永存,其学术成果和崇高品德将永远激励后人。

The Epitaph of Qi Gong
Mr. Qi Gong, named Yuanbai, style name Yuanbei Jushi, was born in the 25th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty (1899), and passed away on February 7, 2011. Mr. Qi was a child prodigy, learned and talented, skilled in poetry and calligraphy, especially proficient in calligraphy. Throughout his life, he was diligent in studying, never tired of seeking knowledge, and had a wide range of interests in poetry, painting, calligraphy, archaeology, and history, achieving remarkable accomplishments.
Mr. Qi once served as a professor at Peking University, the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and a researcher at the Palace Museum. He was a renowned scholar, educator, calligrapher, and art appraiser in our country. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to academic research and made significant contributions to China's cultural cause.
Mr. Qi was highly respected and humble, sincere in his dealings with others, and deeply loved by his students and colleagues. Throughout his life, he was indifferent to fame and wealth, valuing academic pursuits and taking education as his responsibility. Although he held a high position, he always remained modest and unassuming, setting a shining example for future generations.
After his passing, his students, friends, and people from all walks of life came to pay their respects and express their admiration and memories of him. Although Mr. Qi has passed away, his spirit will forever endure, and his academic achievements and noble character will continue to inspire future generations.
